We made these garlands for YW two years ago. They were fairly easy, no sewing required. I saw the idea in the Feb ’08 issue of Better Homes and Gardens. There weren’t any specific instructions, so this is what I came up with. The garland is approximately 26″ long, with each heart 5 1/2″ wide. It’s kind of hard to get the scale from the picture.

Allison turns three next week, so I made her an outfit to wear for pictures. She of course wouldn’t model it for me so I had to settle for this. The skirt is from this tutorial from Grand Revival designs. It was really easy to make and turned out really cute. I appliqued a 3 and a flower to the t-shirt I got at Wal-Mart. The matching hair bow is still in the works.
Flower Hair Clip
Posted onI’ve been so restless lately so I’ve been trying to focus on a few unfinished projects I have laying around. I’ve been meaning to make more hair clips for A so I used up some scrap fabric and made matching flowers for me and her. I used this pattern and instructions found at this blog Wise Craft. I sewed the flower onto a snap clip and tada, instant hair clip.
